Packaging Line Leader The Packaging Line Leader (PLL) reports to the Production Shift Manager. The PLL is responsible for the performance of the applicable lines and for maintaining documented standards in Packaging. The PLL monitors packaging line performance against KPIs and leads meetings to review performance with line teams, support functions and wider management. The PLL facilitates problem solving, provides feedback on operator performance, and ensures operations are performed in accordance with the company’s Corporate Standards, Quality System, GMP, GDP Guidelines and Industry Standards. Key Responsibilities Owns and maintains documented standards for packaging area activities (e.g., SWIs, training materials, SOPs). Monitors packaging performance against defined KPIs and leading/lagging performance indicators. Leads regular cross‑functional meetings to discuss line performance and drive consensus and ownership for improvement actions. Supports the management of Packaging Operators by providing feedback, attending performance reviews, and conducting regular 1:1s and development discussions. Facilitates problem solving using industry‑standard techniques, documenting investigations and conclusions for quality events. Acts as first point of contact for line issues, working across shifts to ensure clear communication and coordination of initial responses. Coordinated communications of line issues to relevant support teams and escalated unresolved issues to the Production Shift Manager or Production Manager. Deputises for the Production Shift Manager as requested and participates in focus team groups. Runs the line where required and can act as the production representative/SME for projects. Performs other responsibilities as requested by the Production Shift Manager. Skills and Qualifications Very high aptitude in the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Good technical writing skills. Excellent communication skills across different levels in the organization. Proactive, self‑starter, highly accountable and positive energy. Highly professional and able to operate effectively under pressure with competing priorities.
