Operating worldwide, the company is the world's leading provider of submarine rescue capability and an established provider of submarine escape training. The company is at the forefront of Hyperbaric Rescue, along with being the leading supplier of commercial and defence diving equipment and saturation diving systems to the commercial industry.
About the role:
To support the company Supply Chain team based in Westhill, this is a varied role best suited to those who enjoy a challenging, deadline orientated work environment. You will assist Supply Chain, Stores, Quality and Accounts with queries relating to outstanding orders, non-conformance components and invoice queries.
Your key responsibilities will also include:
- Assist in all administrative functions to support the Purchasing function within company supply chain process.
- ERP system administration, data entry and expediting of company purchase orders.
- Raising and placing purchase orders; obtaining price and delivery for items where necessary, gather approvals, raise and issue purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner.
- Issue enquiries, expedite and collate multi-vendor quotations.
- Responsible for raising PO's for various manual requisitions and special purchases.
- On occasion, manage the process for items being returned to suppliers due to non-suitability.
- Ensure high level of communication with those expediting, use of order/delivery notes in Glovia.
- Identify and communicate supplier delivery performance issues to department Buyers/Manager.
- PO archiving, document preparation & general administrative support.
- Working with Finance to match deliveries with invoices/reconcile queries.
- Providing accurate and timely reporting of order status' and cost savings.
- Attend team meetings and company training sessions as scheduled.
- Variety of non-routine duties, includes holiday cover, as assigned by Buyer/Manager.
Who are we looking for?
You will need to have strong communication with a willingness to take ownership and accountability of issues and make decisions.
A strong team-player who is highly organised with excellent time management.
The ability to work effectively within a team structure, accept and understand management instruction, manage own timescales and specified timescales effectively.
Great attention to detail and able to manage multiple tasks.
Be focused on delivering to tight deadlines and changing requirements.
You will need excellent written and verbal communications skills.
What do you need?
MS Office / Computer skills are essential.
Standard Grade Level 3 or above, SVQ/HNC in Business Administration would be preferred but is not essential.
Ideally you will have experience in a similar role.
An exciting opportunity to work on Commercial and Defence Diving Equipment and grow their career in Supply Chain with an expanding organisation.
*You will need to be able to achieve Security Clearance as part of the role.
*This role is based in Westhill, Aberdeen with a hybrid working pattern - x3 days a week in the office therefore, you will need to live within a commutable distance to this location.
