Their experienced and adaptable team ensures smooth port operations around the clock.Port Operative - Job Role DetailsAs a Port Operative, you will play a vital role in supporting port operations, ensuring that vessels, freight, and passenger services are handled efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for mooring vessels, loading/unloading freight and vehicles, and operating port machinery.Port Operative - Key ResponsibilitiesSafely moor vessels on arrival and prepare them for departureLoad and unload freight, vehicles, and passenger luggageTransport freight and equipment using TUG Masters and other port machinery (training provided if required)Traffic marshalling of freight and passenger vehicles for safe embarkation and disembarkationCarry out routine maintenance and upkeep of port areasPort Operative - Ideal Person Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience driving large vehicles or machinery, e.g. tractors, HGVs, or agricultural equipmentFull, clean driving licence (essential)Flexible, adaptable, and proactive in your approach to workStrong team player who can work well under pressureGood communication skills and ability to work in a customer-focused environmentWillingness to learn new operational skills and machinery handlingHow to Apply: Please click on the "apply now" button.About Us:Established in 2013, Agricultural and Farming Jobs provide outstanding recruitment, head-hunting, and job advertising services.
