Graduate Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal Join IVC Evidensia to start your veterinary career at a network of two small‑animal practices located in Durham and Chester Le Street. The role offers a 40‑hour work week, four 10‑hour shifts Monday to Friday, and a rota that includes one Saturday every five Saturdays (8 am‑2 pm). You’ll be supported by an experienced team of 10 veterinarians, 13 nurses, 4 VCA’s and a dedicated mentor. Practice facilities include digital x‑ray, dental x‑ray, multi‑parameter machine, K‑laser, endoscope, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment and a TTA kit. All personnel have certificate holders in dental, medicine and soft‑tissue surgery. Responsibilities Provide clinical care to small‑animal patients across Durham and Chester Le Street sites. Attend scheduled shifts (four 10‑hour shifts Monday‑Friday, one Saturday every five weeks). Engage in continuous learning through IVC Evidensia’s blended learning programme. Collaborate with senior vets and the practice director for skill development and patient management. Qualifications Graduate veterinarian (BS(Eng)/BVSc). Willingness to work across two sites and adapt to a team of varied disciplines. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Benefits and Rewards Competitive starting salary: £36,000 per annum.
