Role Junior Production Coordinator Apprenticeship – Level 4 – Salford – BBC Sport Contract Details Contract type: Fixed‑term apprenticeship, full‑time for 17 months Location: Salford – Quay House Salary: £22,950 Department: BBC Sport About the Apprenticeship As an apprentice you will learn on the job, developing your knowledge and skills in production management while working towards a Level 4 apprenticeship qualification. You will support Production Managers and Coordinators across TV, audio, online, events and digital platforms, gaining experience in a range of sports content production areas. Key Responsibilities Assist with shoots, studio setups, crew bookings and call sheets. Book transport and accommodation for crews. Raise payments for suppliers and broadcasters. Apply for accreditations, permits and visas. Create and manage small budgets. Learning & Development You will study for a recognised Level 4 apprenticeship qualification, attending instructor‑led workshops, tutorials, presentations and group work. Throughout the apprenticeship you will gather evidence for an end‑point assessment and build a portfolio of work. Skills & Eligibility Excellent organisational, problem‑solving and negotiation skills. Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Resilient, responsible and calm under pressure. Flexible, motivated and able to manage multiple deadlines. Self‑starter, enthusiastic and adaptable to out‑of‑hours work. Eligibility Criteria Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship begins in September 2026. Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years before the start of the apprenticeship. Be legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship. Not currently enrolled in another apprenticeship programme. For candidates under 19 at the start, must have achieved Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent; if not, must achieve Functional Skills Level 2 before the end of the apprenticeship.
