About the apprenticeship Duties Learn Core Quality tools including 8D, Ishikawa, 5 whys. Learn to interpret Engineering Drawings and CAD models. Learn to perform product inspection using a variety of metrology equipment, including CMM, 3D digital scanning, micrometers, vernier calipers and gauges. Learn to perform gauge calibration to the required industry standards. Gain a basic knowledge of metallurgical properties of various materials and test / inspection processes. Learn and gain best practice (APQP) Quality Procedures. Requirements Qualifications Essential – 5 GCSEs grade A to C. This must include a B, or above, in Maths and at least C in Science and English Language (or Welsh as a first language) Ability to take ownership of the working environment. Be able to naturally maintain an infectious positive attitude. Feel passion towards their work / Engineering, be driven and self‑motivated.
