Security Officer – Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services Part‑time: 2 days a week, £13.50 per hour. Job Overview Protect the customer’s property, people, and assets, following the Assignment Instructions (AI) and any updates. Deliver results that meet or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreement, ensuring contract retention. Undertake additional training for continuous self‑development. Operations Ensure compliance with policies, legal, and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and UK law. Complete all tasks and duties defined within the AI. Review AI changes proactively and suggest improvements. Maintain a front‑line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision and a CCTV PSS SIA Licence, as required. Comply with all legal obligations and safety requirements. Follow instructions appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority. Work systematically and orderly. Training Complete all required competency training. Receive additional training as directed by the Security Account Manager. Use technology to achieve key objectives and develop knowledge through ongoing professional development. Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry. Security and Health & Safety Identify and report any health or safety hazards immediately. Remain alert to threats and changes in the work environment to reduce potential disruption. Use common sense and initiative, involving others if a situation escalates. Maintain professional conduct with difficult customers. Document incidents accurately and promptly for the Incident Report process. Adhere to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client. Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated times as specified in AI. Call emergency services and the Communication Centre for all incidents.
