Position Overview Health & Safety Advisor – Excellent opportunity to join a growing organization. The role involves coordinating the planning, implementation and monitoring of all policies and procedures to comply with H&S legislation. This role is based in South Lanarkshire. Key Responsibilities Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant HSE legislation and ensure the company has clarity with regard to all its statutory obligations. Lead the development and writing of compliant company policies, procedures and practice for all operations at both facilities. Ensure all necessary risk assessments are carried out and regularly reviewed, and practicable solutions implemented to mitigate risk to all on site. Establish and report measures of HSE performance across the business and adopt a proactive approach to continuous improvement of HSE practices. Responsible for the implementation, development and review of the site’s Health and Safety arrangements, in line with ISO45001, to ensure adherence with all Group and site procedures and local instructions, providing a robust quality system and an Integrated Business Management System (IBMS). Candidate Requirements Previous experience working in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing environment. NEBOSH General Certificate. Working knowledge of relevant HSE legislation. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Experience in Health and Safety management, with a focus on Energy From Waste/Biomass or Electricity Production desirable.
