Position Bank Support Worker – Huddersfield – Salary £12.36 per hour – Bank Zero Hours Contract – Permanent – Closing Date Tuesday 6 January 2026. Bank Support Workers working in Huddersfield are required to be able to work unsociable hours, weekends and bank holidays. All applicants will be subject to satisfactory references and all employees are checked against the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). Successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure prior to commencement of employment; the disclosure expense will be met by the employer. T&C’s paid following successful completion of a 6-month probationary period. Responsibilities Being a support worker is very rewarding but also hard and challenging. Support workers need to be able to understand that not every day is sunshine and smiles. They watch and support individuals, helping those hard days ease. No two days are the same; you will face and overcome many challenges, but the rewards are priceless. Qualifications and Experience Experience in a caring environment essential. Experience of working with adults with autism. Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities. Able to work unsociable hours, weekends, and bank holidays. Excellent communication skills, allowing you to engage & interact with our service users. Ability to keep calm under pressure. Confidence to work alone and also be part of a team (family). Passionate about making a positive difference in someone else’s life. Excellent writing skills.
