About the RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, both in and outside the classroom. This role will particularly suit someone with a background in Health and Social Care who understands the subject content and can provide tailored academic and emotional support to learners pursuing qualifications in this field. ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small group support for students, particularly within Health and Social Care classes.Work closely with teaching staff to deliver personalised learning plans and adapt materials as needed.Assist in monitoring student progress and contribute to reviews and meetings.Encourage student independence, confidence, and engagement with learning.Support students with personal care needs (if applicable and training provided). About YouWe are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them succeed.Experienced or qualified in Health and Social Care (Level 3 qualification or above desirable).Patient, empathetic, and adaptable in approach.A team player with excellent communication skills.Experienced in working with young people with additional needs (preferred but not essential).
