We are seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic band 4 Associate Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Physiologist, working 30 hours per week (0.8 WTE). You will join a friendly multidisciplinary team and will be expected to be part of the night shift rota, overseeing patients attending for sleep studies.The post holder will help to deliver the provision of respiratory physiology testing within the Children's Hospital alongside the Lead Physiologists and Associate Physiologists, as well as providing a high quality sleep study service. It is essential that the successful applicant has an awareness of lung function testing, as well as a good science background preferably with a BSc in a relevant subject. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are also required.Paediatric respiratory medicine at the Children's Hospital provides a tertiary service for children across the South West, including those with cystic fibrosis, asthma, neuromuscular disease, and those on long term ventilation.Main duties of the jobWe are looking for individuals with energy and enthusiasm who are committed to providing a high quality service. Previous experience in respiratory or sleep physiology investigations would be beneficial, however full training will be provided. You must be highly motivated, with an ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
