Seasonal Ecologist ADAS, part of the RSK Group, is seeking Seasonal Ecologists to join our highly skilled ecology team. These are fixed‑term contract positions for six months throughout the busy spring and summer period to start in March/April, with the potential to extend into a permanent position for the right candidates. The role is based in Wigan. We aim to get each Seasonal Ecologist involved in all aspects of ecological consultancy – from quoting to surveys and the follow‑on reporting. Support and mentoring will be provided at all stages. Key Responsibilities Carry out a range of ecological surveys (skills dependent) and assist senior colleagues with other surveys to develop skill set. Carry out desk studies, consultations, research, data management and analysis, and report writing. Deliver work as efficiently as possible in order to meet agreed timescales and quality standards. Person Specification Enthusiastic individual keen to develop an ecology career. Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Someone open to flexible working with regard to the type of work, timing and location, with night and weekend work as and when required. Experience with European Protected Species survey work (not essential). Benefits 37.5 hrs per week. Excellent continual professional development opportunities as part of our training commitment.
