As a Production Engineer, you'll play a key role in programming, tooling selection, fixture design, and process optimisation to support a busy CNC workshop and wider engineering functions.
 
Your responsibilities as a Production Engineer:

Produce CNC programmes using advanced CAD/CAM software to support efficient machining.
Select suitable cutting tools to optimise machining performance and material removal.
Design and model fixtures to support internal manufacturing needs.
Collaborate with design and technical teams to ensure components are engineered for manufacture.
Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions to achieve conforming parts.
Review methods for complex components and present machining strategies to engineering stakeholders.  
Your current experience which will help you a Production Engineer:

Background as a skilled CNC machinist within a precision manufacturing environment.
Experience with Hypermill or similar CAM systems (training can be provided).
Knowledge of machining castings and effective work-holding methods.
Strong understanding of machining processes and efficient material removal techniques.
Confident interpreting technical drawings with good knowledge of GD&T.
Strong communication skills, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  
What you can expect as a Production Engineer:

Salary up to £50,000, dependent on experience.
32 days holiday including Bank Holidays.
