SEN Lecturer - Further Education Location: Staffordshire Contract Type: Hourly Paid Duration: January - June 2026 Start Date: January 2026 About The Role A leading college in Staffordshire is seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students with a range of Special Educational Needs. You will be supporting learners across Entry to Level 2 programmes, promoting independence, confidence, and progression. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated sessions for learners with diverse SEN needs Create and implement individual learning plans (ILPs) Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and curriculum teams Monitor learner progress and complete relevant assessments and reports Contribute to EHCP reviews and inclusive learning strategies Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment Skills & Experience Required Experience teaching or supporting learners with SEN in a FE or specialist provision Strong understanding of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SLD/MLD or complex needs Ability to plan differentiated lessons and support personalised learning Excellent communication and behaviour-support skills Qualifications (any of the following welcome) We welcome applicants with a variety of UK teaching qualifications, including (but not limited to): QTS, QTLS, PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS, DET, Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training, or equivalent Additional SEN qualifications or training (e.g., Autism, Makaton, Inclusive Learning) are highly desirable What's On Offer Competitive hourly rate (depending on experience and qualifications) Supportive and inclusive college environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on learner outcomes How To Apply If you are passionate about inclusive education and supporting students with additional needs, we'd love to hear from you.
