We are looking for a passionate Residential Support Worker who personally wants to make a difference in the lives of young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Role Overview As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting. You will work as part of a dedicated team to promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of each child, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and understood. You will help create a structured, stable environment while supporting the children in their day-to-day activities, personal development, and educational goals. What You'll Be Doing Building Strong Bonds: Get to know the children you support and build relationships based on trust, care, and respect. Making Learning Fun: Help with homework, school projects, and even creative activities like arts & crafts or building the best Lego towers Supporting Growth: Guide and encourage young people to achieve their goals, whether it's improving their social skills, taking up a new hobby, or achieving something at school. Ensuring Safety & Well-Being: Make sure the children feel safe, valued, and protected at all times, following our safeguarding procedures. Team Spirit: Work alongside an amazing team of professionals to create the best environment for our young people. What you will need NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare Experience working with Young People with Autism, Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs Good written and verbal communication skills Full UK Driving Licence The successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau. SCR social care is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of vulnerable adults / children as a priority.
