This role is ideally suited to teachers with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).SubjectsEnglishMathsScienceContract / Position DetailsLocation: Within the community or pupils' homes in WiganPosition: SEN Tutor (QTS required)Type of work: ContractStart date: ASAPDuration: Ongoing supportHours: Part‑time, typically 8am – 4pmPay: Minimum £25 per hourRequirementsRight to work in the UKEnhanced DBS on the Update ServiceOverseas Police Check (if applicable)Two years of professional referencesQualified Teacher Status (QTS) essentialExperience working within a SEN setting (preferred but not essential)Further InformationThe successful tutor will be patient, empathetic, and able to design and deliver tailored learning plans on a 1:1 basis. A therapeutic approach may be required to re‑engage pupils with their learning. The aim is to provide structure, routine, and educational development, ultimately supporting the pupils' reintegration into an educational setting.Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor pupil progress, requiring weekly reports to track development.Tuition generally takes place during school hours.
