The Opportunity We’re looking for a curious and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our collections team. You’ll play a key role in supporting Zopa’s collections operations by running and improving processes, generating insights, and ensuring we have the right data and MI to make smart decisions. You’ll use your technical skills in SQL, Python, and Excel to deliver accurate, valuable analysis that helps us better support our customers and improve outcomes. What You'll Be Doing Executing and improving existing team processes, ensuring quality and consistency. Using SQL to extract and prepare data for stakeholders across the business. Performing analysis within a defined scope using Python and Excel, validating outputs and clearly communicating findings. Applying problem-solving and investigative skills to identify issues and propose practical solutions. Owning and coordinating key team processes, including generating reports, MI, and data-driven controls. About You You’re comfortable working with SQL, Python, and Excel, and you enjoy applying these tools to solve business problems. You deliver analysis with accuracy and attention to detail, and you take sensible steps to validate your work. You’re curious, proactive, and always looking for ways to improve processes or make things work better. You take ownership of your work and escalates issues when needed, while striving to build your skills and knowledge further. You understand how business metrics, product performance, and system architecture relate to your analysis. You can prioritise tasks with your manager, follow an agreed plan, and maintain momentum to deliver on time. A self-starter with a growth mindset – you ask questions, seek feedback, and are eager to learn. A problem solver who can spot when something doesn’t look right and enjoys digging into the data. A collaborator who shares knowledge and works effectively with others to get things done. Someone who cares about the detail, but also sees the bigger picture of how your work supports Zopa’s customers and mission. A bonus if you have current or recent fintech, finance, banking exposure.
