Water Treatment Engineers/Plumbers – Edinburgh

Our client is well‑regarded water treatment company with a large portfolio of clients throughout the UK. They are actively recruiting a hardworking and committed Water Treatment Engineer/Plumber based in and around Edinburgh area. The successful candidate will be a qualified level 2/3 remedial plumber and will have in experience in carrying out routine water treatment duties on various site types in line with the ACOP L8 regulations. Applications will be considered from Glasgow, Livingston, Peebles, Falkirk, and the surrounding areas. Discipline: Water Treatment Engineers/Plumbers Experience Extensive experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer within the water treatment industry. Hands on experience carrying out remedial plumbing to a mixed portfolio of sites. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing. Ideally have experience/knowledge of Legionella control. Fully conversant with Health & Safety procedures/legislation and the water treatment industry. Good chemical, technical and educational background. Good IT skills and adept in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Duties Will Entail Undertake all aspects of Plumbing installations/updates and water hygiene/treatment works for all types of water systems. Complete accurate service reports. Comply with relevant legislation and Health and Safety standards. Ensure all customers always receive the best service. Work is being completed at the highest standards. Carry out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold‑water systems, boilers, cooling towers, shower heads and flushing. Descaling, disinfection, tank cleans and dosing. Carry out temperature monitoring, conduct routine sampling, analyse water systems, and interpret the results. Carry out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as and when required. Carry out routine remedial plumbing duties. Complete worksheets for work carried out appropriately. The successful post-holder will be versatile, flexible, have good work ethic and can carry out the work effectively and within timeline and must be flexible with regards to travelling.
