Location: Shard End, Birmingham, B35
Daily Rate: £105 - £115 per day
Contract: Long Term to Permanent
Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Commutable from: Castle Bromwich, Hodge Hill, Stechford, Chelmsley Wood, Marston Green, Erdington, Ward End, Coleshill, Water Orton
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring individual to join a welcoming and inclusive KS1 team at a supportive primary school as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Shard End, Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners during their crucial early years of education.
Your Day-to-Day:
Provide classroom and small-group support across Year 1 and Year 2, helping pupils engage in English, phonics and early maths.
Deliver targeted intervention sessions to boost progress and confidence in key skills.
Offer 1:1 support for pupils who need additional help, including those with mild SEND or learning barriers.
Promote positive behaviour, independence and teamwork throughout the school day.
Support the class teacher with lesson preparation, resources and assessment feedback.
Create a warm, safe and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Liaise with teachers, the SENCO and parents to share progress and celebrate achievements.About You:
Hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
Experience working within a primary school, ideally within KS1.
Confident delivering learning activities and supporting the teacher with lesson delivery.
Patient, encouraging and able to build strong, positive relationships with children.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with SEN, speech and language or social/emotional needs is advantageous but not essential.Why Work With Long Term Futures:
