The Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) is a national evidence-based early intervention programme. The aim of the programme is to improve the antenatal health, child health and development outcomes along with improvements to parents' economic self-sufficiency in disadvantaged young families.A unique opportunity has arisen in Oxford Health for a part time (0.6WTE) family nurse supervisor to work alongside the current post holder to be jointly responsible for leading and managing the work of the family nurses and Quality Support Officer. This is a demanding role combining clinical practice with a team leader , managerial and supervisory role, which requires a diverse set of skills and attributes as well as commitment to the ethos and principles of the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) programme. The family nurse supervisors will also lead and oversee the young parents pathway in Oxfordshire. You will work closely with the 0-19 senior management team and operational managers to support the integration of family nurse partnership, health visiting and school nursing.Are you a passionate advocate for teenage parents who is inclusive, brave, open to challenge, and purposeful? If so, this job is for you and we would welcome your application.Main duties of the jobThe family nurse supervisor will provide in-depth clinical and safeguarding supervision to the family nurses as well as taking responsibility formaintaining the quality and integrity of the programme. You will oversee and be responsible for recruitment and engagement of hard to reach families, building robust local stakeholder relationships and facilitate continual learning and service improvement.
