This role involves performing in-depth analysis and debugging to ensure the product meets high quality/world class standards. The candidate will collaborate with engineering and support teams to enhance system performance and reliability.ResponsibilitiesCreate internal tools that assist in problem solving, improve developer ease to maintain, and identify issues.Diagnose and troubleshoot game features and stability.Perform in-depth debugging and analysis of system failures.Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve technical problems.Develop, modify, and debug gameplay software in script and C/C++Assist in the development and implementation of system improvement strategies.Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions.Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues in a timely manner.What You Will BringAn appetite to cover a wide spectrum of game systems and become a core knowledgebase to support the development team.Ability to decipher 3D math, concepts and apply it to primitive rendering concepts for visualizations.Proven experience in debugging and troubleshooting software systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Familiarity with diagnostic tools and methodologies.Experience with Unreal Engine.BenefitsEscape Velocity is a fully remote studio with comprehensive benefits.
