If you’re excited about joining us and think you have some of what we are looking for, even if you’re not 100% sure, we would love to hear from you.Role overview To deliver our profit and growth targets for home, through the use of innovative analytics, which leads to segmented pricing changes that we can apply to our live rates.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalysing various data sources (including loss, policy, quote and market data), to identify opportunities to improve our risk pricing to help deliver the ambitious growth targets we have for our Hastings home businessDeveloping & delivering new insight, including the integration of new data, new innovative techniques and ways of workingWorking closely with Actuarial, Data Science, Underwriting, Data Engineering, Account Management, Retail and Counter Fraud / Digital teamsCritically review technical models produced by actuaries and data scientistsAnalyse the above models to determine the optimal way to combine these model outputs to give a starting point for our pricingAnalyse the models to identify segments where prices can be improvedCreate tools that enable us to source new pricing leads on an automated basisOwn the overall pricing algorithm for homeRepresenting the home team on various underwriting projects to generate value for the wider businessSupport the team through peer reviews, coaching and mentoringEnsure that we are meeting customers’ fair and reasonable expectations and provide fair outcomes for our customers.Band 4, with 1 direct report, but role expected to grow as the home business and the team growsEssential skills/experience:Strong numeric and problem solving skillsStrong Analysis and coding experience.
