They are now seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing Derby team. Responsibilities Deliver design work, inspections and construction site support on major infrastructure projects. Cover analysis and design using software such as Tekla, IDEA and TEDDS, as well as hand calculations and carry out concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects. Prepare calculations, CDM activities, material specifications, technical reports, design coordination, scopes of work and more. Assist and mentor team members to promote their technical and professional development. Project Work Design of new buildings, foundations, retaining walls, and basements. Refurbishment and extension of existing structures. Integration of secondary elements such as staircases and balconies. Deliver demolition strategies, forensic engineering, BIM collaboration. Design specialist industrial structures for extreme load and seismic conditions, alongside party wall advice.
