Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay) is recruiting HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers for steady, long-term work based in Kingsbridge. This role combines professional Class 2 driving with hands‑on waste and recycling duties, working as part of a friendly and reliable local team. Pay & Hours £17.37 - £26.06 per hour (PAYE Advanced) Paid weekly Monday to Friday Optional Saturday shifts during Bank Holiday weeks Minimum 8 paid hours per shift Your Daily Duties Driving a Class 2 (Cat C) refuse vehicle on scheduled routes Assisting the crew with loading, lifting, and emptying bins Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects Completing route paperwork, timesheets, and PODs accurately Following all site procedures, health and safety rules, and driver hours regulations Working closely with a small, supportive team on local South Devon rounds This is an active role and involves regular physical work What You Need Full Cat C Class 2 licence Driver CPC Digital Tachograph card No more than 6 penalty points Ability to reach the Kingsbridge depot for early start times Physically fit for manual handling duties Mobile phone for communication during shifts Desirable Experience Previous work in refuse, waste, or recycling Good knowledge of Kingsbridge and South Devon routes What We Offer Excellent hourly rates with enhanced overtime Consistent Monday-Friday work pattern Real temp-to-perm potential with a respected local employer Immediate starts for suitable candidates Support from a friendly, local Driver Hire office Discounted Driver CPC training for PAYE drivers Pension contributions included Apply Today Apply directly through Indeed, or contact Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay) on #removed#.
