The Planning and Materials Leader will create the Master Production Schedule and lead the execution and continuous improvement of wing to wing materials processes. They will partner with the leadership team to develop a customer focused environment that maximizes on-time delivery while minimizing inventory.Overall responsible for strategic planning, demand planning, inventory management, warehouse logistics planning, team leadership, budget management, performance management and continuous improvement within your function.Job DescriptionLead a team of planning and materials personnel in materials and operations planning, inventory, production control and procurement requirements, demonstrating strong integration with engineering and manufacturing operations teams and cross functional stakeholdersEnsures that standard materials processes and standard KPIs are used to provide the best delivery with the lowest inventory cost for the assigned areaSupport the SIOP process (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning): contribute to material procurement timing, order release timing requirements, available capacity, & lead-timesLead capacity requirements planning processes by gathering & loading information into planning tools, analyzing data, and providing regular updatesEnsure that the master schedule and production schedules are synchronized usingERP and other tools. Ensure that training and skills necessary to use planning tools are provided and tools are monitored for appropriate useReport, monitor and improve plant materials related KPIs: inventory balance, inventory turns, on time delivery, on time to need, system health & usage, master data adherenceLead and Monitor all the logistics activities such as incoming receipts, days to stock, inventory accuracy (cycle counts), and shortagesDemonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for RMR and Module buildUses experience and expertise to solve problems logically, get to root cause and implement prevention to avoid recurrenceIdentifying opportunities to improve materials planning and logistics processes through Lean, Kaizen and the implementation of best practices or new technologiesDesired CharacteristicsAbility to lead, manage and communicate with all levels of the businessInclusive leadership style, proven ability to build a connection with the team through personal involvement and trustKnowledge of the disciplines of supply chain management, such as production and inventory control, variable cost productivity, fulfillment metrics, cost systems, and proceduresStrong analytical & problem solving skillsAbility to handle multiple priorities, act independently, and use sound judgmentAbility to successfully motivate and maintain high integrity, employee involvement, safety and teamworkChange agent with energy, passion and enthusiasmERP – SAP, Primavera etcYou can expect from usWork on exciting cutting-edge technology on novel drive system topologies and challenging and exciting global projects.A work environment where we understand that not everyone has the same expectations about their jobs, careers and work-life balance and we are happy to discuss flexibility requirements.Attractive compensation.Flexible benefits so you can build a package that fits your personal needs.
