OverviewA friendly primary school in Haringey is looking for a skilled Teaching Assistant to join their Year 2 team immediately. You will lead phonics intervention groups across two Year 2 classes, supporting pupils with varying levels of phonics and early reading development.Key ResponsibilitiesLead small phonics groups to support early reading and phonics skillsCollaborate closely with class teachers and other teaching assistants within the year group and Key Stage 1Use your strong knowledge of phonics to engage and motivate reluctant learnersAdapt support to meet individual pupil needsRequirementsGood knowledge of phonics and early reading strategiesExperience working with KS1 or EYFS pupils, ideally in phonics interventionExcellent verbal and written English skillsAvailable to start immediatelyAbout the SchoolThis welcoming Haringey primary school offers a supportive environment with well-behaved children and a passionate staff team.
