Senior Product Manager – Technical Building Products Location: Manchester, England (preferably North West or West Midlands) Seniority level: Mid‑Senior Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Product Management Industries: Wholesale Building Materials, Interior Design & Manufacturing Overview: Our client is a privately owned, international manufacturer in the construction sector, known for technical systems and sustainability. The company is transitioning to a region‑driven structure, aiming to professionalise operations, strengthen service levels and triple regional revenue. This role creates a senior product leadership position to own a strategically important portfolio of technically complex construction materials, improve technical standards, tighten compliance and implement a market‑led product strategy. Responsibilities Act as the expert owner for the product system in the region, reporting to the UK Marketing leader. Define and execute the product vision and roadmap, leading product development, optimisation and launch projects using formal project frameworks. Collaborate closely with R&D, technical, operations and sales teams to ensure products meet or exceed performance, quality and regulatory requirements. Drive strategic product management, hands‑on product marketing and cross‑functional project leadership. Elevate technical standards, tighten compliance and introduce a rigorous, market‑led approach to product strategy and lifecycle management. Qualifications Commercially sharp and technically credible product leader with deep experience in system‑based building materials. Strong cross‑functional influence and a proven track record of driving category performance in demanding markets. Comfortable operating in a changing environment, stabilising and scaling a critical product area while supporting a new marketing leadership team.
