Introduction Arla Foods Lockerbie are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Production Operative to join our team at our Lockerbie Dairy. Location Lockerbie, GB About The Job As a Production Operator you will be assisting with the efficient running of the packing lines in the Production area within a busy milk production and packing site. The successful candidate will work a rolling shift pattern of 12 hour shifts, working 4 on, 4 off, with 2 days and 2 nights. They will contribute to the quality and technical areas in the Production team to enable it to produce the highest quality dairy products in a reliable and cost effective way. Duties Move test from the end of the packers/unloading wagons/filling bottle tables Effectively run Production and Packing lines by using production IT systems Perform simple maintenance tasks Monitor equipment performance and correct/raise issues before they become problems Ensure a high standard of Quality and Health and Safety is maintained including compliance with Arla and customer procedures Finished product quality checks Who Are You? Ideally the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a good understanding of process flow, mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills along with high levels of enthusiasm and a positive attitude to change and problem solving. Having a good knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene would be preferable, although the appropriate training will be provided. It would be advantageous to be numerate and have the ability to deal with paperwork, data entry systems including SIC, SAP, MDE, OEE Database and completing production logs.
