Join to apply for the Multi-skill Trades - Carpenter role at Platform Housing Group. Platform Property Care needs an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter based in central Leicester and the surrounding area to join our Repairs and Maintenance team and help us maintain and improve our homes, ensuring our customers' homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard. You will be a Multi Skill Trades Carpenter and carpentry will be your focus, but experience in other trades is an advantage, as you will be delivering Multi Trade repairs and maintenance. The role is varied. No two days will be the same and you will meet a wide range of customers along the way. It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return, you'll have the support of a great team. We want someone who can A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. Work in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication and customer service skills. Be organised and recognise the importance of delivering work right the first time. Working for Platform Property Care you will benefit from Basic salary of up to £35,431 per annum depending upon experience plus opportunity to earn more from out of hours and voluntary overtime. 25 days holiday plus opportunity to buy additional 5 days leave. Salary sacrifice pension scheme with employer contributions of up to 12% (inclusive of life assurance and dependent on employee contributions). PPC Van + Fuel Card. Mobile phone, iPad & lone worker device provided. Access to free healthcare and dental plan through Medicash. We want someone who has: NVQ L2 Carpentry. Experience of working as a Carpenter in the building trade either as a Carpenter or as a multi-skilled Carpenter. Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council, delivering multi trade repairs and maintenance. Associated trade skills of basic plumbing, plaster patching, decorating and wall tiling would also be desirable. Experience of delivering multi-trade work. Good organisational skills. Experience of keeping jobs on track. The drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently. Good IT Skills. Experienced using a PDA. Experience of using Microsoft and Outlook email. Full current valid driving Licence essential as this is a mobile role. As you will be working within customers' homes this role requires a DBS check. There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota, which is required. This role is for a team based in the following area so you will need to live here: central Leicester, Northwest Leicestershire, Tamworth, Hinckley and Atherstone.
