Quality Manager Reports to: Plant Director Responsible for: Quality Co-ordinators Overview An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining compliance with key standards (including ISO and BRC), driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that product quality consistently meets customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage and develop the Quality team, ensuring all objectives and KPIs are achieved. Maintain and improve integrated Quality Management Systems covering incoming materials, in-process manufacture, and finished products. Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO, BRC, and other relevant standards. Act as the site lead for customer and certification audits, ensuring readiness and full compliance. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Investigate and resolve customer complaints promptly, maintaining accurate records and ensuring robust follow-up. Support supplier quality assurance activities, including vendor development and evaluation. Promote a data-driven, customer-focused approach throughout the site. Conduct and coordinate internal audits, ensuring effective documentation and follow-up actions. Chair and participate in key meetings including MRM, HACCP, Quality, and Tooling reviews. Communicate effectively across all departments to ensure quality objectives are integrated into daily operations. Support safe working practices and ensure compliance with company health and safety policies. Person Specification Proven experience managing and improving Quality Systems within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of ISO, BRC, and related quality standards. Experienced in leading continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives. Excellent leadership and people management skills with a hands‑on, pragmatic approach. Strong communicator, capable of influencing across all levels of the organisation. Analytical and detail‑oriented with good data interpretation skills. Competent with Microsoft Office and quality management software. Ability to prioritise, make decisions, and perform effectively under pressure. Experience in injection moulding or plastics manufacturing is highly advantageous.
