Job Description Academic Support Officer (Alternative Provision) School: Secondary School Lambeth South London Start date: January 2026 or sooner Actual Annual Salary: Contract: Full-time permanent term time only Aston Education is looking for an Academic Support Officer (Alternative Provision) for an Ofsted Good 11-16 secondary school in Lambeth South London. The Academic Support Officer plays a key role in supporting students at the Alternative Provision. This role ensures students have access to the full curriculum, promotes positive behaviour and supports reintegration into mainstream education. Maintain behaviour systems and create a positive learning environment. Implement strategies to remove barriers to student achievement. Track student attendance and performance identifying underachievement and implementing interventions. Safeguard students health, safety and wellbeing. Liaise with parents and external agencies. Qualifications, skills and experience required : Degree ideally with Psychology or Behavioural Science Experience supporting students academically and behaviourally in a secondary mainstream or SEND school Experience of tracking performance and implementing interventions Strong communication and interpersonal skills Safeguarding training Ofsted says: This is a caring school with an inclusive ethos.
