Job overviewBeds & Herts Breast Screening Services are seeking qualified mammographers to join our Bank team.As one of the largest breast screening units in the country, we provide comprehensive screening and assessment services to women across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. Our service is supported by five mobile units, with assessment and symptomatic breast clinics delivered in our modern, purpose-built Breast Screening Unit (BSU) in Luton and at Bedford Hospital.The BSU is conveniently located next to Luton and Dunstable Hospital, close to the M1, with excellent access to local and national rail networks as well as Luton Airport.This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dedicated team committed to delivering the highest quality care and service to women in our community.Please note: This post carries a Genuine Occupational Qualification (GOQ) under the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 Section 7(2) and is therefore restricted to female applicants only.Previous applicants need not reapply.Main duties of the jobJOB SUMMARY: To participate in the radiographic operation of the assessment centre, mobile units and symptomatic clinics in accordance with the agreed operational policies of the Breast Screening Services and the National Health Service Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP)Working for our organisationBedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital services to a growing population of around 700,000 people living across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas across two busy hospital sites in Bedford and Luton.
