Job Overview The post holder will be expected to work closely with directorate colleagues to deliver a quality research service, enhancing the patient experience and providing reputational excellence for Cardiff and Vale Research Delivery teams. The purpose of this post is to increase the number of patients participating in clinical trials at Cardiff and Vale UHB. Key Responsibilities Increase the number of patients participating in clinical trials at Cardiff and Vale UHB. Assess and manage the care pathways for patients and carers participating in clinical trials, including recruitment, education, monitoring and the collection and documentation of accurate data. Work autonomously to assist in the management of a caseload of clinical trial patients while working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team. Maintain effective communication with patients, carers and professionals to ensure high quality service delivery. Day‑to‑day manage the Mental Health research portfolio: recruiting participants into studies, setting up and closing studies, managing data and reporting metrics against key performance indicators for research in Wales. Qualifications & Experience Research or extensive clinical experience. Excellent clinical skills. Desirable ability to speak Welsh; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
