Romford, United Kingdom Teach Now Full time

Are you a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant looking to make a genuine difference in a child’s school experience? A welcoming primary school in Havering is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and ready to play a key role in a child’s growth and wellbeing.

Why You’ll Love This Role

This school is known for its warm, nurturing environment where both pupils and staff feel valued. You’ll be joining a collaborative team that prioritises positive relationships, clear communication, and ongoing support. As an SEN TA, you’ll receive guidance from experienced teachers and SEN specialists, ensuring you feel confident and equipped in your role.

The position offers meaningful, impactful work—every day, you’ll help a child build confidence, develop emotional regulation strategies, and create positive learning habits. Your contribution will directly improve their educational journey.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should:

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

• Have experience or a strong passion for working with children with SEMH needs

• Bring patience, empathy, and a solution-focused mindset

• Be reliable, proactive, and committed to supporting learning across KS1 or KS2

If you’re seeking a role where no two days are the same—and where your support truly matters—this could be the perfect fit.
