General Assistant

As General Assistant for Sodexo at Swavesey Primary School, Middle Watch, Swavesey, Cambridge, CB24 4RN, you will be contributing towards the smooth running of a fast‑paced food and beverage operation. You will be responsible for showcasing the kitchen supplies in the most eye‑catching way possible, ensuring we are offering the best service possible. As well as this, you work no unsociable hours and get public holidays off… including Christmas Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way. Responsibilities Prepare delicious meals for our school team and pupils. Keep the kitchen and serving areas stocked, clean and hygienic always. Support the loading and unloading of supply and delivery vehicles. Observe food handling and hygiene regulations. Follow health and safety guidelines. Ensure that all machines and equipment are operated correctly. Always uphold the reputation of the company. Have a great sense of teamwork. Show that you can adopt a dedicated and orderly approach. Show that you can prioritise your work, handle pressure, and communicate well at all levels. Show impeccable punctuality and dependability. Full training and full protective uniform supplied. Compensation & Working Hours £12.21 per hour. 22.5 hours per week. Working pattern: Monday to Friday 9.30am to 2pm. Term Time only (39 week Working Contract paid over 52 weeks). Equated pay (sometimes known as spread‑over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non‑working weeks.
