We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our team in the transport office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimising transportation routes and ensuring efficient operations. This position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Transport Planner will work closely with various departments to enhance our transport strategies and improve service delivery within the group.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement efficient transport plans that meet operational requirements.Analyse transportation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Prepare detailed reports on transport operations.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards in all transport activities.Collaborate with other departments to align transport strategies with overall business objectives.SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.Strong understanding of EU regulations and WTD in relation to driver’s tachograph laws.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members.Strong knowledge of the UK road Network.High level of computer literacy, including experience with transport management software or IT systems relevant to road transport operations.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Car driver a must.
