Overview We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic clinical pharmacist to join the Inflammatory Bowel Disease team at the University Hospital of Llandough. The post holder will provide clinical pharmacy services and medicines management to patients of the highly specialised Inflammatory Bowel Disease service, supported by the lead pharmacist for IBD and the wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT). This brand‑new position has been developed to ensure safe and effective medicines for IBD patients within CAVUHB and offers an exciting chance to contribute to cutting‑edge treatment options. Responsibilities Provide initiation and surveillance services for all patients on biologics and immunomodulators, including homecare provisions. Improve medicines optimisation, patient education, safety and compliance. Help reduce costs through unnecessary prescribing and dose adjustments, under senior support from the IBD team. Work closely with the MDT to develop your role as a specialist pharmacist in IBD, receiving supervision, training and support from the lead IBD pharmacist. Contribute to pharmacist‑led biologic clinics run by the lead IBD pharmacist. Qualifications & Requirements Experienced and enthusiastic pharmacist with excellent communication skills. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. Willingness to develop advanced practice in IBD with guidance from the lead pharmacist.
