You will join a multidisciplinary team that designs and specifies mechanical equipment packages for ports, shipyards, and container terminals. Responsibilities Lead the development of detailed BIM models for mechanical utility systems within maritime environments (both underground and aboveground). Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure accurate and coordinated designs. Manage and maintain BIM standards and software component libraries, ensuring compliance with project and industry requirements. Oversee clash detection, model audits, quality assurance processes, and contribute to BIM Execution Plans. Mentor junior modellers and contribute to continuous improvement. Plan, organise and manage work packages or projects. Travel in the UK and abroad for short assignments (as per project requirements). Develop IFC shared parameter files and classify model elements to IFC schemas. Candidate Specification Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud. Solid understanding of ISO 19650 workflows and BIM Execution Plans (BEPs). Logical approach to problem solving. Ability to undertake tasks independently and efficiently. Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence liaising with clients and team members. Excellent written communication and attention to detail. Hands‑on experience with model federation, issue tracking, and clash detection. Preferably experience in mechanical drawings, pipework, schematics, etc. Desirable extras: BIM certifications, familiarity with 4D/5D BIM for sequencing and cost estimation, and experience with data visualisation tools. Preferably a Full Driving Licence. Willingness to travel to other UK offices. Eligibility for UK Ministry of Defence work; SC (Security Check) clearance required.
