STEQ Manager – Newark, Full Time, Permanent Salary £50,000 - £70,000 DOE + £500 per month Car Allowance Our Newark based client has an exciting opportunity for a STEQ Manager to join their growing team on a full time, permanent basis. You’ll be ensuring a safe and healthy working environment is provided to all employees, contractors, visitors and the public. THE ROLE As a STEQ Manager, you’ll be required to develop and maintain health, safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures, as well as: Ensure policies are aligned with current legislation (e.g. CDM Regs, HASAWA etc) Maintain the company’s Integrated Management System Lead and support accident and incident investigations and reporting Liaise with regulatory bodies (e.g. HSE) as required Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance Audit safety practices, report findings and recommend corrective actions Oversee first aid and fire safety measures and develop test emergency response plans Chair monthly STEQ meeting ensuring minutes are noted and follow up on implementation Manage and develop the STEQ Advisors Set and manage the company safety, environmental and quality KPI targets Represent the company at industry forums (e.g. the FPS) Oversee and support the delivery of blue-collar training programmes THE CANDIDATE The ideal STEQ Manager will have an in-depth knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations and legislation, as well as: Degree related or Level 5 / 6 NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent CSCS card (Manager level or above) Full UK driving licenceExperience conducting risk assessments, audits and incident investigations Knowledge of lifting operations and the preparation of Lift Plans Strong understanding of construction processes and site operations Ability to interpret and apply legislation effectively Capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels Proficient in Microsoft Office and H&S Management Systems Skilled in report writing, policy development, and delivering training THE BENEFITS As a STEQ Manager you’ll receive the following benefits: 34 days annual leave including BH (increasing with length of service) £500 per month car allowance Annual bonus Simplyhealth medical cash plan Life assurance Company pension Thank you for your interest in this vacancy and good luck with your application.
