Consultant Vascular Surgeon

The post is based within the internationally recognised centre for vascular surgery at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The Unit was formed by the merger of the two regional units based at St Mary's and Charing Cross Hospitals and has combined their high-profile international reputations in areas such as open and complex endovascular treatment, leading multi-centre clinical trials and repairing thoracoabdominal aneurysms using techniques such as left heart bypass and full motor and sensory spinal monitoring. The service also supports the Major Trauma Centre as well as being a regional out of hours tertiary referral centre. The unit has and is shaping current and future clinical practice including the pioneering use of endo-robotic surgery for aortic, carotid and peripheral vascular interventions, which is a UK first.
