OverviewJob Role : Mechanical Engineer (Plumber)Location : HMP The Mount, Bovingdon, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 0NZSalary : £43,177.30-£46,775.42 per annum + 5% additional for working shifts covering weekendsContract : Permanent, full time, 39 hours per weekRole purposeWe are seeking a level 3 qualified Plumber to join our team at HMP The Mount, a Category C & Adult / Male prison, as a Mechanical Engineer.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and operate mechanical systems within the facilities to ensure safe, reliable operation.Collaborate with a team of trades including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, Administrators, and others to deliver a secure environment.Contribute to a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff, and visitors, and support the wider community.Work as part of the Facilities Maintenance Team to keep the site functioning smoothly and safely.Qualifications and requirementsLevel 3 qualified Plumber (required).Mechanical Engineer role scope with the ability to work across multiple trades as part of a multidisciplinary team.Permanent, full-time position with 39 hours per week, including weekend shifts as indicated in the salary.NotesJoin a team that is more than just colleagues; we work Monday to Sunday as a supportive and driven family.
