We optimise and innovate.We turn big ideas into the products, content and services millions of people love.And we do it all right here at Sky.What you'll doRelease and support Sky Sports products into the live environment for a global audienceParticipate in the full software lifecycle, including support and continuous integrationContribute to the technical direction of the teamProvide guidance and mentoring to other developers on the teamShare and generate new ideas, provide constructive and useful feedback to peersQuickly build prototypes and work with top brains in ML across the industryActively participate in code reviews within your squad and across the departmentWork with senior technical staff to advocate & advance modern software development processesBe a part of Sky\'s software engineering community and actively contribute to development meetings, guilds, and wider Sky initiativesCommunicate effectively with stakeholders and peers leading to valuable outcomesWhat you'll bringYou are a very confident AWS software developer - this is a must (AWS certification is a bonus)Experience writing Javascript / Typescript or a similar object orientated languageYou are familiar with the following technologies and have worked with them recently: Python, React, Lambda, Serverless Framework, DynamoDB, S3, AppSync / GraphQL, API Gateway, Step FunctionsRestless attitude and a drive to always make things better and quickerExperience of development within a cross-functional agile team, using source control with appropriate branching and commit strategiesExperience setting up, configuring and maintaining all parts of the development process, e.g. tracing, monitoring, observability, automated CI / CD pipelines, release tooling, APIs and backend integrationsExperience refactoring complex codebases, reducing technical debt and improving code quality over timeExperience taking ownership of complex projects, from technical design to implementationDemonstratable leadership supporting & coaching peers on ways of working to also upholding technical best practices in an evolving platformProduct DeliveryWant to deliver brilliant products and unmissable entertainment that grips millions of households?
