Quality Manager Hitchin, Hertfordshire £40,000 - £45,000 DOE We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality standards at a busy food manufacturing site. Within the role you will need to take ownership of the Hitchin site and drive quality standards across the operation. This is a key leadership role, ensuring compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop the onsite QA team (Quality Specialists, Lab Team, Hygiene Team). Drive quality culture across the operations department. Investigate and manage customer complaints – going beyond emails to find root causes and implement solutions. Develop and implement the Quality Management System (QMS). Manage internal and external audits (including BRC and customer audits). Oversee non‑conformance reporting and corrective actions. Take ownership of incident investigations and ensure robust follow‑up. What We're Looking For Proven experience in a Quality Management role within food manufacturing. Strong knowledge of BRC standards and auditing processes. Ability to lead audits independently and confidently. Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills. A hands‑on leader who can inspire and develop teams.
