Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Supporting and delivering safe patient care throughout the perioperative journey.Assisting with surgical procedures across a range of specialties including Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmics, Gynaecology, and General Surgery.Maintaining accurate clinical observations and responding appropriately to changes in patient condition.Leading and supporting junior colleagues, contributing to the learning and development of the wider team.Assisting in equipment management, stock control, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention standards.Participating in clinical audits, data collection and driving improvements in theatre practice.Engaging in teaching, supervision, and professional development activities, contributing to a culture of learning.About usAs a Registered Nurse (RN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP), you will also haveRecent experience at Band 5 level in a theatre settingProven ability to scrub in for a variety of surgical proceduresStrong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centred careA positive, flexible attitude and a collaborative approach to teamworkA passion for continuous development and contributing to a high-quality surgical serviceA recognised post-registration qualification in theatre or day surgery - desirableExperience in clinical supervision, change management, or audit and research activities - desirableWhat you can expect in return:A salary of £43,639, depending on your skills and experienceWork 37.5 hours per week over 4 days (Mon-Sat 07:00-17:00)25 days annual leave (increasing with service) plus bank holidaysA wide range of wellbeing and lifestyle benefitsOngoing professional development and in-house training opportunitiesTo apply for the role, click on the link below.
