Senior Systemic Anti‑Cancer Treatment (SACT) Navigator Location: Cromwell Hospital, London SW5 0TU Employment type: Full time – 37.5 hours a week Date posted: 12 December 2025 Overview The Senior SACT Navigator is a key role within the multidisciplinary oncology team. You will coordinate the patient pathway, provide administrative leadership, and serve as the main point of contact for patients, families and clinical staff throughout the treatment journey. Responsibilities Co‑ordinate the activities of the oncology unit to maximise efficiency and prevent delays within the pathway, including allocation of patient space. Liaise with medical, nursing, pharmacy, and oncology teams to ensure the timely supply of SACT and the availability of treatment appointments. Triage telephone calls and provide basic advice, support and sign‑posting to patients and self‑pay patients. Ensure all investigations, results, prescriptions, consents and medications are booked, authorised and recorded prior to treatment. Upload and manage medical reports, consents and other documents onto the Oncology Management System (OMS). Secure pre‑authorisation for patient admissions/attendance through insurance portals and liaise with the International Patient Centre. Conduct pre‑admission courtesy calls to confirm patient details, financial clearance and registration forms. Review treatment schedules, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to maximize capacity and quality of service. Maintain strong relationships with consultants, staff, finance teams and other departments to ensure seamless coordination. Line manage the administrative team, conduct regular reviews, and support staff development. Qualifications Clinical background with experience in a clinical environment. Prior experience managing a team. Knowledge of oncology and SACT administration. Experience working with patients and families under stressful circumstances. Ability to implement new processes and drive continuous improvement. Benefits Competitive salary + performance‑based bonus.
