Make a Real Difference Every Day About the Role We're looking for a dedicated Support Assistant to join our Peripatetic Service at Sherwood Court, Wakefield. This vital service operates 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, delivering high-quality care to people in their own homes. The post is for 24.50 hours per week on a 4‑week rolling rota: Morning shifts: 07:00 – 15:00 Evening shifts: 15:00 – 23:00 Weekends and bank holidays – enhanced pay rates apply Salary: £25,583 – £25,989 (FTE) Your role will include: Supporting individuals to remain in their own homes Promoting independence and person‑centred care (Washing, dressing, bathing, toileting, meals & medication) Working collaboratively with professionals and agencies Treating every person with dignity and respect To apply, you'll need: Essential: GCSE Grades D–G in Maths and English or Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English Desirable (but not required): Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) We’ll provide full training and fund your Level 2 qualification after successful completion of your probation period.
