Pharmacy Dispenser - Folkestone Superstore Tesco Folkestone, England, United Kingdom Pay: Starts from £12.87 an hour; increases to £14.08 inside the M25. Additional payments may apply based on location. Guaranteed minimum 16 hours per week. Flexible part‑time options available down to a minimum of 12 hours. Availability Window Sunday: 13:30‑18:00 Monday: 09:00‑15:00 Tuesday: 12:00‑19:00 Wednesday: 15:00‑21:00 Thursday: 12:00‑19:00 Friday: 14:30‑21:00 Saturday: 11:00‑19:00 Responsibilities Support the operation of the modern pharmacy Accurately dispense medication for customers Dispense prescriptions with strict attention to detail Provide friendly, professional customer service and product information Assist with vaccinations, blood pressure checks and blood glucose testing Offer appropriate information on common ailments and products Advise customers on pharmacy services available Deliver services according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Assess legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions Handle clinical and legal queries from healthcare practitioners Respond to prescription medicine queries and report complaints Maintain all dispensary routines, SOPs, and a clean environment Accurately administer prescription paperwork on time Promote company initiatives and promotional activities Ensure profit protection and legal compliance in all procedures Complete corporate and departmental training Keep up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy Qualifications and Requirements Experience in a pharmacy environment is required Desire to train and progress into the pharmacy field Benefits Holiday: 20 days + 2 days after 12 months (plus Bank holidays) Flexible working from day one 10% discount and 15% discount on payday weekends via Colleague Clubcard (additional card for family) Free wellbeing services and resources Life cover: five times pay and pension with matching contributions up to 7.5% Customisable benefits package – discounts, shares, cycle‑to‑work schemes, etc. Uniform provision and workplace support policies Access to colleague networks and inclusive community groups About Tesco Our vision is to become every customer’s favorite way to shop, anywhere, anytime.
