Part-Time Financial Controller - Lambeth, London About the role: We are looking for a detailed-oriented and commercially-minded Financial Controller to join The Part-Time Finance People and support growing SMEs in London. We are looking for an experienced finance professional who can lead the finance function, improve financial processes, and provide clear, actionable insights to support better decision-making and business growth. You will play a key role in shaping the finance function, producing management reports, implementing robust financial controls, and guiding business leaders with both financial and commercial expertise. About You: You are a qualified and experienced Financial Controller with a proven track record in growing SMEs. Ideally, you are already self-employed, available quickly, and can commit to at least 2 days per week. You thrive in hands-on finance roles, enjoy working alongside business owners, and can translate complex financial information into clear insights for non-financial leaders. Your Expertise Should Include: Preparation of management accounts and reports Balance sheet reconciliations Profit forecasting Strong working knowledge of Xero (Sage 50 / QuickBooks a plus) Assessing and implementing financial controls Commercial awareness and strategic insight Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, SUMIFS, graphs) Presenting financial and commercial information to non-financial leaders Fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACMA / FCCA / ICAEW) or QBE (5+ years) Experience managing a small finance team Role Details: Location: Lambeth, London (on-site) Hours: Part-time, minimum 2 days per week Rate: £38 per hour Type: Self-employed, Part-time This role is ideal for someone looking to combine portfolio client work with a meaningful part-time role, and is passionate about supporting growing SMEs and providing clear financial visibility to business owners.
