We have an opportunity for an Audiologist to join their team of staff in the Nursing department. This is a part-time role for 30 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Duties of this role include: Conduct a full range of audiological assessments including pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, speech testing, acoustic reflexes, and otoacoustic emissions. Perform hearing aid evaluations and fittings based on audiological profiles and patient needs. Recommend, fit, and adjust hearing aids or assistive listening devices using Real Ear Measurements and patient feedback. Provide counselling and education to patients and families on hearing loss, device usage, communication strategies, and ongoing hearing management. Deliver compassionate and clear communication, adjusting explanations to suit the patient’s level of understanding and communication needs. Liaise with ENT consultants, GPs, speech and language therapists, and other allied professionals to coordinate care and refer patients appropriately. Contribute to the smooth running of audiology services, ensuring efficient use of clinic time and resources. Ensure compliance with infection control, consent, safeguarding, data protection, and clinical governance policies. Applicants should meet the following criteria: BSc (Hons) in Audiology or equivalent qualification approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). HCPC or RCCP registration as an Audiologist (or working towards registration). Clinical experience in audiological assessment, hearing aid fitting, and hearing rehabilitation. Proven experienced in audio-vestibular test. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with patients of all ages. Good organisational and time management skills. Competence with audiological software, equipment, and digital hearing aid systems.
