Visit Our People page What's the role? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Settlement Performance Analyst to join our Settlement Operations team within the UK electricity industry. This 12-month fixed-term contract, working 40 hours per week, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of settlement processes ensuring the smooth functioning of market operations. In this pivotal role, you will monitor and manage supplier performance against settlement obligations, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive improvements, prevent errors, and identify opportunities for optimisation. Youll be instrumental in helping suppliers realise these improvements, supporting vital industry processes and shaping operational best practices at the heart of the electricity market. Working 40 hours per week in our Cardiff Office. Key responsibilities Supplier Portfolio Management: Proactively manage supplier portfolios to deliver a consistently high-quality service, ensuring all service standards and settlement deadlines are met. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with suppliers, third parties, and internal teams (such as Data, Compliance, and Operations) to drive performance improvements and meet regulatory expectations. Performance Meetings: Plan, coordinate, and lead supplier performance meetings, ensuring all materials are prepared in advance, issues are clearly articulated, and agreed actions are followed up. Data Analysis & Insight: Provide detailed analysis and insights to support settlement performance objectives, including accurate reporting, identification of potential issues, and early detection of anomalies. Query Management: Investigate and resolve supplier queries in a timely and professional manner, maintaining clear and open communication to address any settlement or performance-related concerns. Compliance & Advisory Support: Support adherence to contractual and industry regulatory requirements, offering expert guidance to both internal and external stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to prevent recurring data or performance exceptions and reduce settlement risk. Performance Reporting: Monitor, manage, and report on supplier settlement performance, ensuring all actions and updates are clearly documented and communicated. Team Objectives: Contribute to and achieve both individual and team goals that align with the wider business strategy and objectives. Any other duties as required. To be considered for this role, we would love you to have: GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics. Essential Electricity Industry experience - Proven experience in settlement operations, performance analysis, or supplier management within the UK electricity industry or energy sector. Experience with industry data flows, settlement reports, or metering data. Understanding of the UK electricity settlement framework, industry codes (e.g., BSC), and regulatory bodies (e.g., OFGEM, Elexon). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights effectively.High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a time-sensitive environment. A collaborative mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach. Desirable Experience working for / with industry agents (e.g., MOPs, DCs, DAs) and external data providers. Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data analytics platforms (SQL). Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement qualifications. Experience in Agile or project-based delivery environments. Electricity Industry experience essential #J-18808-Ljbffr
